The Christian faith starts with knowing the God who made us and gave us this wonderful world to live in. The message of the Bible is about a God who wants us to know and enjoy relationship with him because he loves us.

Unfortunately, we have all thought, said, and done things which break God’s commandments. The Bible calls this sin, and it damages our relationship with God because he is pure and perfect.

The great news is that God loves us so much that he came to earth in the person of Jesus to live a human life like us, facing all the temptations and challenges we do, and to take the punishment we deserved for our sin on the cross. Three days later, Jesus rose from the dead and he offers each of us forgiveness and new, eternal life. We accept this offer by turning from sin and putting our faith in Jesus.

In response to God’s love displayed through Jesus, we love God, love one another, and love our wonderful community.

When we come to know Jesus, he invites us to follow him and be his disciples (apprentices). This isn’t easy and we are all works-in-progress! Therefore, being followers of Jesus isn’t something we can do alone, but as part of a church community.

We gather together every Sunday to sing songs of praise, pray, and hear a helpful talk from the Bible. However, there is much more to being part of a church community than an hour on a Sunday!

Jesus didn’t come to earth to be served, but to serve. He cared for the poor, disabled, and marginalised. He healed the sick and cleansed the lepers. He blessed children and the elderly.

As we follow Jesus together, we use our God-given gifts to serve the people and world around us.

The good news of Jesus is too good to keep to ourselves. God offers everyone forgiveness and new life through Jesus’ death and resurrection.

We are not ashamed to share this amazing news and invite others to know, love, follow, and serve Jesus too.
